Michael's full name is
Michael Leonard Ontkean. Leonard is also his fathers
first name. His mother chose it for Michael's middle
name in honor of his father. His nickname was "Ace". It
was given by his fellow team-mates when he played right
wing on the hockey team at the University of New
Hampshire.
